Good value for price, nice beach & staff, need more food variety & chairs.

Good value for price paid. Very nice beach area. Good staff (Daniel was exceptional!!). We enjoyed the asian themed restaurant.

Inadequate seating by pool/beach. The need to “claim” seats early in order to have somewhere to sit added unnecessary stress on vacation. Food could use more variety.

Pool and beach seating completely inadequate

Smaller property. Easy to get around.

Not enough chairs around the pool and on the beach. People would literally leave their towels on chairs for days ‘claiming’ their chairs. Chairs would sit empty for hours with towels on them which was ridiculous. Food delivery at the pool was painfully slow. The pool bar was ridiculously slow on the third day, slightly better on the previous two. Restaurant food was okay. Nothing great.

Loved the attentive staff (Daniel was exceptional) and location. The beach was lovely.

Overall an amazing break in a nice hotel for 5 nights

Our lagoon view junior suite was lovely, it was very bright and airy and had a balcony which looked out over the lagoon at sunset. The room fridge was quite basic and maybe not as much as we have experienced in other all inclusive hotels. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The fans and aircon kept the room at a great temperature. The beach was stunning, white sand and aquamarine sea, quite incredible, some days the sea was very rough but the beach was always watched by life guards. The breakfast was well presented and tasty, anything from pancakes and maple syrup, to a full cooked breakfast ( with freshly cooked omelettes), pastries, toast, cereals, fruit platters. The staff were very sweet . The Asian restaurant was very good and served sushi and Thai food that was delicious. Overall the staff were lovely and helpful and generally always want to do anything to enhance your stay.

When we initially got our room, we were given one with an interconnecting door ( which my husband refuses to stay in ), you could clearly hear the noise from the interconnecting room . After speaking to the manager we changed our room to the floor above and it was perfect. The interconnecting door rooms should be reserved for families or large groups. Julia the Manager was lovely and very helpful with helping us change rooms. The rooms maybe need some updating as tiny bit tired. The rules around booking a late departure were silly, we asked when we checked in and were given the impression that it would not be a problem and if we could not keep the room we had, we would have a hospitality room to shower and change. So we set our alarm for 7am on our final day !! I was greeted by quite a rude receptionist who when I asked about keeping the room I was given a flat no ! Then told to ring back at 9am to ask for a hospitality room !!! We only wanted the room for 3 extra hours !! The charge for keeping the room and the services was $45 dollars or you could leave the room and pay $10 pp to continue with the all inclusive. The hotel have a ceremonial cutting of your wristband at 12 midday ( which I think is a bit silly ! How much food and drink can you eat in a few hours ???) we were on the beach soaking up the last few hours of sunshine. In my opinion, guest should be allowed to use facilities of the hotel until they leave, I think it would be much more palatable for repeat bookings.

Great for relaxing, food is meh

This is a great place to go if you would like to relax and be served. The all-inclusive option helps resolve some of the classic vacation questions of where to eat/when to leave the hotel and come back. The beach is amazing and the rooms are comfortable. Staff are friendly and generally helpful.

The food is mediocre in general. Since it's already paid for, there does not seem to be much incentive to make it exceptional, which leaves me wondering about whether the all-inclusive option is worth it. We had been traveling around Mexico for weeks and eating so well, so it was strange to then come here and have bland/uninspiring food.

Nice boutique hotel, great for our long weekend in Cancun

Was exactly what we wanted. Comfortable and no need to leave the property other than to walk up and down the beach, although we did leave to go into town one afternoon. This is a small hotel relative to Cancun all-inclusive standards--170 rooms, 2 sit-down restaurants, a buffet and a poolside snack bar (burgers, tacos, quesadillas, etc.). We were there for a long weekend so it worked really well for us. Had we stayed for more than 3 nights, we would have tired of the same on-site eating choices. There is a very nice restaurant, Navios, directly across the street from the hotel. We heard good things about it from a fellow guest at the hotel. We looked at their menu and it would have been an option had we stayed longer (with an added cost, of course). We are not really foodies but we have had more than our share of top quality meals. With that being said, the food at the hotel was good but not over-the-top rave-about-it good.

If you want to be close to the nightlife and hotel zone restaurants, this is not a great choice for you as it is on the south end of the hotel zone. It is a 15 minute drive to the main shopping and entertainment area.

Lovely hotel in a good location. Staff were excellent. Loved the pool and being right on the beach was supern

The information about the food is incorrect. The Mexican buffet restaurant has now been turned in to a fish restaurant which was empty most nights. If you do not eat fish then your choices are very limited with one of the other restaurants being 50% sushi and the other serving plenty of fish dishes too

This was my second time staying here and I would come back for a third!

Breakfast was amazing, all staff is extremely attentive and kind and helpful. It really seems like they enjoy working there.

The food in general is decent but could be better.

Still a good resort, but quality is decreasing noticeably

Beautiful beach, 24h room service, convenience store across the road for everything else. Occasional themed dinner/lunch events. Large, clean bathroom. Staff is mostly very nice.

- Compared to last year, quality is significantly lower. - Buffet restaurant became rather poor. It still has options, but for the price it should and could be more. For example, desert offer became rather poor. - Compared to last year, the buffer dinner is canceled. - Room service can be slow. - Standard room is rather small, but other rooms are amazing. - In-hotel store is way, way, way too expensive.

We only stayed for our last night in Cancun. Everything was good and comfortable. We were surprise about the good quality of food. Beach access, spacious rooms and toilet , good AC.

However, the alcoholic cocktails were not nice.

Small hotel but perfect for a few days away

The room was comfortable and much larger than we thought. We were in a ocean view suite. The beach area had its own area for preferred guests which was great as we didn’t have to fight for a bed or get up early to reserve one. The food in the daytime was basic but the restaurants are fantastic. We also watched turtles come up to lay their eggs in the beach most nights. (Travelled in June) Staff were friendly and couldn’t do more for you. Room service was included which was a bonus as it was nice to have breakfast in the room watching the ocean.

There is no outdoor bar areas to chill at if you don’t want to sit around the pool or on the beach. The indoor bar has leather sofas which were uncomfortable and it was very hot in there. There is not much to do in the hotel such as pool tables, or other games which wasn’t a problem for us as we were out most evenings. When it rained our room flooded as the windows had gaps everywhere. We rang reception but they didn’t help, housekeeping helped by providing more towels.

in general, i encourage those who have the ability to travel to visit Oleo Cancun Playa resort

It's my first time going on vacation outside my country and i love it and i love to go back with all my kids in the future. the drive from the airport to the hotel was interesting, i amused by the warm reception from the stuff, they were very nice and friendly especially a gentleman works there his name alberto , he was very helpful, he is extremely knowledgeable and respectful, in fact he answers all questions before i ask. the room conforms to the specifications, room service were very nice and they care. breakfast was one of my favorite things to start my day. aboUT the BEACH is very beautiful that my daughter refused to do any activity than spend all the day long only swimming.

the only couple things i didn't like it, is there is no insulation between the rooms, if any door had been opened its like inside your room the sound of people walking and talking and the sound of the elevator up and down.
